This place is a gem! The food is amazing, with fresh ingredients, no preservatives, no artificial flavors and additives. The outside patio has a surf vibe and very enjoyable. Mostly young peole work hard to make the custmer experience truly special. I highly recommend it!

The grilled BBQ chicken was tender and flavorful, perfectly complementing the moist rice and beans. While the rice was mild on its own, it blended well with the rest. Plantains were crisp on the outside, soft inside—just right. Generous portion and overall a great experience.

Me and my friends got acai bowls and they were DIVINE!! So good, so fresh, no added sugar, just fresh ingredients and fruits! Will be coming again!

Honestly shocked my bowl was 8. I was preparing myself for a tiny little cup but it was a full meal that was delicious! Clean ingredients too which is a win. Would definitely recommend this place for a casual meal!

Tried the guacamole, short rib taco, grilled fish taco, and kalua pork bowl. All were super tasty and fresh! The restaurant has a relaxed atmosphere with lots of surf decor.

Great food at a great price (Tuesday was 2 tacos for 10). I had the ginger beef and pulled pork tacos, and they came with chips too on the side. Come on by and fill up on some tacos! Will note there was no bathroom inside, but I didn't ask if there was one outside or not.

There isn’t a bad thing to say about the Food Shack (formerly named Flat Waves)! The food is consistently great and every time we eat here we are greeted by such a pleasant staff. We recommend the pulled pork tacos/bowl.

I stopped in to grab lunch while on work travels. The place has a cool vibe, its little but cosy and has a good amount of seating. I got the steak bowl with sweet chili, brown rice, bean, pickled onion and plantains. It was delicious and good value for money on the portion size. I would recommend and I will go back when on the area as I really want to try more of the menu.
